How Can severe Abdominal Pain Be Treated?

Hello- I have had 3 bowel obstructions in my history and have an achy stomach now for 3 days. Not as rigid or painful as when I experienced the obstructions nor am I terribly tired as during those episodes. For good reason , I get nervous when my stomach aches an have stopped eating for now in the event it is an obstruction. Pain is better when I lay down or sit down. I am hungry and did eat normal food yesterday. Pain became a little worse a while after eating. Today only had a cup of yogurt and some tomato soup. Not sure where I should go from here? Pain has made it difficult to go to sleep past two nights. Thank you
